My Friends Don't Listen

Written by: rwlovett on October 12, 2010

I wish that my friends would listen to me more. I, as well as they would be happier because we would have adequate communication. Some of the problems that my friends had, I could solve because I have had similar problems in the past. For example, if they were to miss a shot in pool, I could then tell them how to make the correct shot due to the fact that my grandpa and I shot billiards for years. When they don’t heed my advice, I become a bit angry, then others may become angry, and when there’s anger, there’s conflict. Where, if they would at least take my advice into consideration then we would have a peaceful conversation with some added debate if necessary. On the other hand, I try to listen to people, who I know may be at least partially right on the subject of discussion, such as shooting and making a basket, in basketball, which I know next to nothing about. I would then do to them what i am asking that they do to me. I believe that this is the solution to many problems that others face, and not just in my own community, but on national or even international levels
